Brisbane law firm Bennett & Philp Lawyers has announced a key promotion.
Maurice Hannan has been promoted to Director from his role as a Special Counsel in the firm’s Business & Commercial Team.
He specialises in commercial, health and franchising law. With dual qualifications in law and pharmacy, Maurice has brought a unique combination of skills to bear on property and commercial business issues.
He is especially well placed to assist clients in the firm’s growing base of health industry legal services in addition to advising on sales and acquisition of businesses and property, negotiation and preparation of leases to lessors and lessees, franchising advice and contractual arrangements to master franchisors and franchisees, business structuring and restructuring and banking and finance.
Having owned and operated large pharmacies in Brisbane and Adelaide, Maurice is a strong advocate of the pharmacy and allied health industries. He was previously appointed by the Minister of Health to the Pharmacy Board of Queensland and held a Directorship with Green Spot Chemists for a number of years.
