Wills & Estates

Kellie Keenan is a Director of Bennett & Philp Lawyers and the leader of the firm’s Wills and Estates team.

Kellie joined the firm in 2003 and has built her extraordinary expertise in succession law, with a particular focus on estate planning and deceased estate administration.

In her earlier years with Bennett & Philp, Kellie practised across a range of commercial and business practice areas which allowed her to build an exceptional foundation for use in complex estate and business succession planning for clients.

She is incredibly passionate about all aspects of her work, particularly in providing genuine support for her clients through what is often a very heartbreaking and confronting time in their lives.  Kellie is attentive, compassionate and able to handle difficult details for clients when they can be easily distracted in times of grief. She takes great comfort in having the opportunity to make a difference to her clients by offering them support and providing logical, clear and precise legal advice in such difficult times.

Kellie prides herself on developing meaningful relationships with her clients and her referral networks.  She obtains the majority of her work through her client and referral relationships, which is a testament to the invaluable assistance she provides clients and colleagues.  She is renowned as one of the most thorough, diligent and compassionate Wills and Estates experts.

With more than 14 years’ experience, Kellie advises on all aspects of estate planning and deceased estate administration, including:

  • Probate and Letters of Administration;
  • Simple and complex estate planning, including testamentary trusts, self-managed superannuation funds, mutual wills, blended families and international wills;
  • Advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries in complex estate and trust administration; and
  • Business succession planning, including complex legal and strategic advice.

The estate planning explanations Kellie provides to clients are practical and user-friendly. This leaves clients feeling satisfied that they have a comprehensive and detailed estate plan in place which provides value for money and peace of mind that their affairs will be looked after appropriately.

Kellie is a proud member of STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners); a global professional association for practitioners who devote themselves to the practice of family inheritance and succession planning.  Her membership with STEP provides international recognition as an expert in her field, with proven qualifications and experience.
