Compensation Law

An injury or illness can leave you and your family with devastating or even life-changing consequences. We can help you to claim compensation when you have been injured or suffered serious illness through no fault of your own.

Securing proper financial compensation for your injuries is only a part of what we do. We can also help you to get the right rehabilitation care as early as possible – to give you the best chance of recovering from your injuries and returning to the life you want to live.

Bennett & Philp have earned a reputation for ensuring all of our clients obtain access to justice and the maximum amount of compensation for their injuries.

We find claims other lawyers miss and fight incredibly hard for our clients. Our Team is highly experienced and excel in legally complex cases. We are relentless with our opponents but we are also compassionate and practical in the way we approach our clients.

– Mark O’Connor, Director, Bennett & Philp Lawyers and Queensland Law Society Accredited Personal Injury Specialist.

During the course of a claim, it is likely that there will be some significant expenses for medico-legal reports, engineering reports or forensic accounting reports. These usually require a cash outlay.

If you do not have the capacity to pay for these expenses, we can arrange to pay that for you or for you to have access to Legal Aid, if eligible, for that particular purpose.

All of the above elements will be incorporated in detail into our Service Agreement with you.

This Agreement has a 7 day cooling off period and we will be happy to discuss its contents with you at any time.

Our approach to service

We find case points other lawyers miss and fight incredibly hard for our clients.

Bennett & Philp has earned an enviable reputation amongst its peers for providing personalised legal services to its clients. We don’t have a team of secretaries or paralegals to delegate work to. Each and every one of our clients is advised and looked after by qualified, experienced lawyers.

All our clients have a dedicated lawyer who knows their case and will take the time to talk to them if they have questions or concerns about their case.  In nearly all matters, the lawyer who starts your case will still be there to finish it for you.
